Scotland’s whisky market has faced a number of challenges since US President Donald Trump introduced new tariffs on the sector, in what he called ‘Liberation Day’ for the States.
Now a survey says overall optimism within the industry is low, as high input costs are absorbed by the sector.
But some companies are seeking new markets, and argue opportunites are still to be found.
