Amber snow alert ends with storms to hit over the weekend

Some parts have seen around 20 inches of snow fall due to the wintery weather

Winter weather’s continued to cause difficulties in some parts of the Highlands today, with motorists stranded on the A9 due to drifts.

The Amber alert has just come to an end but the cold is set to continue tonight, before more stormy conditions sweep in.
