Alyth residents feel ‘lucky’ after avoiding serious flood damage

The Perthshire town was among the areas under a red weather warning for rain brought by Storm Babet

Residents in Alyth say they feel “very lucky” to have avoided serious flooding following last night’s heavy rain.

But people are being told to stay alert with further weather warnings in place until tomorrow night.
