All high schools in Edinburgh could be set to ban the use of mobile phones during classroom hours.
It follows a pilot where two schools have restricted the use of devices for pupils.
The feedback from that has been positive from staff and young people – with reports of improved concentration and socialising.
Councillors have launched a consultation on extending the scheme.
