Alex Salmond launches fresh Scottish Government legal challenge

First Minister Humza Yousaf said the Scottish Government will robustly defend itself

The former First Minister Alex Salmond has launched fresh legal action against the Scottish Government over their handling of abuse allegations towards him.

He’s accused Nicola Sturgeon and other senior women in Government of misconduct in public office.

Mr Salmond’s already received over half a million pounds in legal compensation, after the Court of Session ruled in 2019 that the Scottish Government’s handling of complaints against him were ‘unlawful’.
