AI boosts breast cancer detection by 10% in Grampian study

Technology helps spot tiny tumours invisible to the human eye

An NHS Grampian and Aberdeen University study which used AI to spot potential breast cancer has found that detection rates increased by 10% when using the technology.

The project helped women like Yvonne Cook, whose tumour was so small it couldn’t be identified by the human eye.
