Aberdeen University lecturers begin ten days of strike action

Staff are on strike in a dispute over job cuts.

Lecturers at the University of Aberdeen have begun ten days of strike action in a dispute over job cuts.

Members of the UCU were already on strike for four days earlier this year, over the institution’s refusal to rule out compulsory redundancies.

The university says it continues to engage with campus trade unions and will do all it can to minimise disruption to students.
