A9 dulling summit as McAllan says she does not feel safe on route

Tonight there are calls for ministerial resignations unless the matter is urgently addressed

Scotland’s Transport Secretary has admitted she often doesn’t feel safe travelling on the A9.

It comes as a crisis summit was held between campaigners and politicians to discuss the dualling of the route, where 13 people have lost their lives in the past year.

Mairi McAllan says she will issue an update on the programme after the summer.
