£7m storm tank built to protect homes from flooding

Built in Edinburgh, the tank can hold over an Olympic swimming pool's worth of water.

A huge storm tank, capable of holding more than an Olympic sized swimming pool of water, has been built underground in Edinburgh to help protect homes from flooding.

The £7million build by Scottish Water has also had support from local schools and nurseries with young gardeners lending their skills to complete project.
