£60m fix after council builds school too small for pupil numbers

Renfrewshire Council said these costs have been factored into planned borrowing.

It has been branded a historical “council planning failure” – a blunder that saw Renfrewshire Council build a new primary school which was hundreds of places too small.

Around £60 million pounds still needs to be found to rectify the error at the Dargavel Village Development in Bishopton.
