Around 40,000 cruise ship passengers are expected to visit Aberdeen this year as the port prepares to welcome a record-breaking 64 cruises.

The Viking Vela was the first ship to dock in the Granite City this morning.

The Norwegian boat brought with it nearly 1,000 tourists.
