1,300 offshore oil and gas workers walk out on strike

The Union say this dispute has been lengthy and are calling on the firms to make a better offer

It’s been described as the biggest offshore stoppage in a generation.

1,300 workers are on strike today and tomorrow with a union describing it as a ‘tsunami’ of action in a dispute over jobs, pay and conditions.

The oil industry body says it understands workers are feeling the effects of the cost of living crisis, but that strikes are not helpful.
