Celtic have confirmed the departure of Yosuke Ideguchi to Vissel Kobe on a permanent deal.
The midfielder failed to make an impression during his time with the Premiership champions and spent the last year on loan to Avispa Fukuoka.
The 27-year-old has now settled his future, signing a permanent deal with the J-League champions, where he will hope to rebuild his career.
Ideguchi had joined Celtic on December 2021 on a five-year deal as part of a triple signing from Japan alongside Daizen Maeda and Reo Hatate.
While those two players went on to establish themselves as important first team players, Ideguchi failed to find a place in Ange Postecoglou’s side and made only six appearances in green and white.
Agreement was reached over a loan deal with Avispa Fukuoka last February and his performances there earned him a Player of the Year nomination and prompted Vissel Kobe to make the move to sign the midfielder.
Yosuke Ideguchi has today joined J.League Champions, @visselkobe on a permanent transfer.
