Luis Binks believes Scotland can get fans “on board” with back-to-back wins over North Macedonia and Slovenia.
Sebastien Pocognoli is still looking for his first victory as Scotland boss after the goalless draw away to Slovenia on Saturday, before the damaging 3-0 defeat to Switzerland at Hampden on Tuesday.
The midweek defeat means Scotland have now gone four games without a goal for the first time since 1971.
The Scots face North Macedonia in Skopje on Saturday before welcoming Slovenia to Hampden on Tuesday.
Centre-back Binks insists confidence is still high amongst the camp as they go into two crucial fixtures.
The Brøndby defender said: “In the second half against Slovenia, we probably should have won the game.
“Tonight we know they [Switzerland] were quarter-finalists at the World Cup, so it was always going to be difficult, and then that happens [the red card], which makes it extra difficult.
“I wouldn’t say the confidence is too low. We’ve got a game in a few days to put it right and get everyone back on board, and then to end at Hampden will be brilliant, because if we can get back-to-back wins, it definitely gets everybody back on side.
“Everyone sticks together, everyone digs in to fight for each other. Going to Macedonia will be difficult. I imagine it will be pretty hostile.
“They’ve also lost two games, so they’ll want to get a result. We’re going there with high confidence and just to try and win the game.
“We want back-to-back wins, especially going there, we are probably the favourites, and then to end at Hampden, we want to give the home fans something to chant about.”
