Steven Naismith insists his Hearts side will be aiming for all three points when they visit the home of the league leaders this weekend.
The Tynecastle club travel to Ibrox to take on Rangers on Saturday with Philippe Clement’s men sitting two points clear at the top of the Premiership and on a nine-game winning streak.
But Hearts have also been on a good run themselves with 11 wins and one draw from their last 12, including away victories over Celtic and Hibs and full points from their last eight.
Their last defeat was back in December 9 when they lost to Aberdeen.
And their recent form has been so good that they are now closer to the top of the league than they are to fourth and have opened up a 14-point gap in third.
So they will arrive in the southside of Glasgow in a confident mood and the manager insists they now expect to win every game.
Speaking to the media on Friday he said: “When we have the ball we need to make Rangers work, if you want to get results against the Old Firm when you have the ball you need to keep it.
“We have won at Celtic Park already and we were close at Ibrox last time so are managing to deal with these situations and occasions much better than we have previously.
“We are in a better place going into this one, we are on a good run of form and, like every other game, we go aiming to get the win.
“Every game we go in to now we expect to get the win and we think we are good enough to get the win.
“But football is football, it’s uncomfortable at times, there’s times when you go behind and need to deal with that situation, there’s times when you have a lead and you have to deal with that.
“It’s unpredictable, but every game we go in to we look to compete and by doing that we have an expectation to give everything we’ve got and we know if we do that we give ourselves a good chance.”
