Trump International Scotland declared world's best course at World Golf Awards

Trump International Scotland’s new golf course has been named the best in the world.

The course in Aberdeen, which officially opened earlier this year, was recognised at the World Golf Awards on Wednesday.

As well as being recognised as the world’s best, the location also scooped another two honours by being named as the World’s Best Contribution to Golf Tourism Hospitality, and Europe’s Best New Golf Course 2025.

The awards, which are voted for by golf professionals, media and consumers worldwide, seek to “acknowledge and celebrate excellence in the golf industry”.

US President Donald Trump said it was a “great honour” to receive the awards.

He said: “A great honour to win such a prestigious award from the highly respected World Golf Awards.

“I am very proud of the job that Eric Trump and my team did on building one of the greatest golf courses anywhere in the world. It will make people happy for a long time to come.”
