Dundee manager Gary Bowyer has been presented with the Glen’s Championship manager of the season award after leading his side to the title.
The Dark Blues came out on top in a hard-fought title race, beating Queen’s Park 4-3 in a final game decider last week.
It capped a memorable season for the Dens Park side, with promotion back to the Premiership secured.
Former Blackburn Rovers, Blackpool, Bradford City and Salford City manager Bowyer succeeded in his task at the first time of asking, winning 17 of 36 league matches in charge, drawing 12 and losing just seven games in a hugely competitive division.
Colin Matthews, CEO of Glen’s owner the Loch Lomond Group, said: “The competitiveness of the Championship has been fierce, but Gary Bowyer has pushed Dundee to thrive throughout the season, securing a run of 10 consecutive unbeaten league matches to finish the season on a high.
“Dundee’s drive to secure promotion was clear during Friday’s dramatic final which ended 5-3 – the first time Dundee has scored five times in an away match since February 2017, when they beat Motherwell 5-1 at Fir Park.
“These kind of results are a testament to the hard work delivered by Gary and his coaching staff over the last year. My congratulations to Gary and everyone at Dens Park for a fantastic season. He’s a worthy winner of the Scottish Championship Glen’s Manager of the Season award.”
