Russell Martin has named his Rangers team to face Club Brugge as the Premiership side look to upset the odds and reach the Champions League.
A 3-1 defeat at Ibrox in the first leg means Rangers have a two-goal deficit to turn around but the Rangers head coach insists the tie is far from over and that his side can reach the League Phase of the competition.
A big win in Belgium would pave the way to a string of glamour games against the best on the continent and huge earnings, with £16.5m in prize money on the table just for qualifying.
Achieving that aim, and avoiding a drop to the Europa League, would mean Martin’s side delivering a much-improved performance in comparison to the first leg, when defensive errors saw Rangers 3-0 down after 20 minutes. Danilo’s second-half goal means the team will need to score at least twice in Bruges just to take the tie to extra-time and possibly penalties.
Martin has insisted his side will go for it and take the game to their opponents, and he has named an attacking line-up for the match.
Jack Butland starts in goal, with a back four of Jayden Meghoma, Nasser Djiga, John Souttar and Max Aarons.
Joe Rothwell, Lyall Cameron and Thelo Aasgaard are the midfield trio, with Djeidi Gassama and Oliver Antman playing wide either side of Danilo.
