James Tavernier has been declared fit to start for Rangers against Bayer Leverkusen.

Tavernier limped off against Hamilton last week and had been wearing a protective boot as he fought to overcome a foot injury in time for the first leg of the Europa League last 16 tie.

Steven Gerrard vowed to give his captain as much time as possible to declare himself fit and now the right-back is ready to start the crucial match at Ibrox.

Joe Aribo also returns to the starting line-up for the game.

Allan McGregor is in goal with Tavernier Connor Goldson, George Edmundson and Borna Barisic in defence.

Glen Kamara, Steven Davis and Scott Arfield make up a midfield trio with Aribo and Ryan Kent providing width either side of striker Alfredo Morelos.

Wes Foderingham, Matt Polster, Andy Halliday, Nikola Katic, Sheyi Ojo, Ianis Hagi and Florian Kamberi are all on the bench.
