Glasgow City remain top of the SWPL table following a comfortable win over Spartans at the weekend.

The top four all recorded victories on matchday 14 of the women’s Premier League on Sunday.

Five points separate City in first place and champions Celtic in fourth with Rangers in second and Hearts in third.

Leanne Ross’s side ran out 6-0 winners at Petershill Park thanks to goals from Katie Lockwood, Natalia Wrobel, Nicole Kozlova, Lisa Forrest, Aleigh Gambone and Brenna Lovera.

Rangers also scored six in their comeback victory over Dundee United that keeps them a point behind the leaders.

Jane Ross scored a double and Camille Lafaix, Mia McAulay, Katie Wilkinson and Kirsty Howat all got one each in the 6-1 win at Broadwood.

Morgan Steedman had put United ahead midway through the first-half before Jo Potter’s side hit back.

Third-placed Hearts scored two in the first-half to win 2-0 at Aberdeen.

Goals from Jackie Richards and Georgia Timms secured all three-points for Eva Olid’s women at the Balmoral Stadium.

Saoirse Noonan hit a hat-trick as Celtic beat Montrose 5-1 at New Douglas Park.

Louise Brown put the visitors ahead after 12 minutes before Amy Gallacher equalised for the Hoops and a Demi Taylor own-goal completed the rout.

Elsewhere fifth-placed Hibs drew 1-1 with Partick Thistle in Edinburgh and Motherwell beat Queen’s Park 6-1 to stay sixth.
