STV Radio confirms starting line-up for new football podcast with Ewen Cameron and Ronnie Charters

STV Radio has confirmed the starting line-up for a new Scottish football podcast.

The STV Radio Football Show will take a weekly deep dive into the beautiful game with two of the country’s most familiar voices.

STV Sport’s Ronnie Charters will be joined by Ewen Cameron on the weekly visual podcast from Monday.

Cameron is well-known among Scottish football fans for his passionate, unfiltered takes on the latest developments in the game, while quick-witted Charters is always ready and willing to stir the pot.

STV Sport producer Callum Bell will also be on hand to keep them in check.

They will pore over all the biggest talking points from the weekend, from which team won the bragging rights, to the most controversial referee calls.

There will also be a look ahead to major upcoming games, whether it’s a local derby or World Cup Qualifiers, with help from fans and special guests across the country.

Ewen, who will also host the new breakfast show alongside Cat Harvey, is “buzzing” to give the fans what they want.

He said: “I know that every Monday morning, millions of football fans across Scotland wake up and go: ‘I wonder what Ewen Cameron thought of that shocking tackle at the weekend?’ Well, wonder no more – just check your podcast feed!

“I’m absolutely buzzing to join Ronnie on The STV Radio Football Show and bring listeners our no-holds-barred commentary on the game we all love. Ronnie’s apparently an experienced sports journalist with lots of informed and intelligent opinions. Aye, we’ll see about that…”

The STV Radio Football Show, sponsored by CR Smith, launches on Monday, October 27 and will be available weekly on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube and STV Player, with highlights shared across STV Radio’s social channels.
