Kilmarnock defender Stuart Findlay has been ruled out until the new year with “severe” ankle ligament damage.
The 29-year-old, who has been a regular starter for Killie, was carried off on a stretcher in the first half of Sunday’s 3-2 defeat away to Dundee.
Manager Derek McInnes revealed on Wednesday that Findlay, on loan from Oxford, will be out for “a number of months”.
“Thankfully, there is no dislocation or fracture, but there is severe ligament damage,” said McInnes. “We are waiting for the results of the scan, he could be out for two, three or four months.”
Winger Danny Armstrong is doubtful for Sunday’s William Hill Premiership match at home to Celtic due to a hamstring issue that forced him off against Dundee.
