Steve Clarke is set to name his Scotland squad as the national team prepare to get their World Cup qualifying campaign under way.

The road towards North America 2026 begins next month with back-to-back away games against Denmark and Belarus.

Clarke is expected to mainly stick with the same core of players, including mainstays such as captain Andy Robertson, John McGinn, and Ballon d’Or nominee Scott McTominay, when he names his roster on Monday

And with the likes of Hibs forward Kieron Bowie, who has started the season in great form, and Lennon Miller, who has recently completed a move to Serie A side Udinese, the manager will have plenty of options.

The Tartan Army will be in Copenhagen for the first match before heading to Zalaegerszeg for the game against Belarus, which is being played in Hungary.

Greece is the final country in the four-team group, and Scotland will play them at Hampden in their first home game on October 9.

After six games, with each team playing the others at home and away, the group winners will qualify for the tournament being held across Mexico, Canada, and the USA next summer.

The team in second place will take part in the play-off round.
