Standard Liege will be missing five players from their squad when they face Rangers after positive coronavirus tests.

The Belgian club announced the positive tests the day before the teams meet in the opening match of their Europa League group.

Michel-Ange Balikshiwa, Nicolas Raskin and Moussa Sissako have all returned positive tests, while Damjan Pavlovic and Abdoul Fessal Tapsoba are in self-isolation as they live with Sissako.

Goalkeeping coach Jan van Steenberghe has also tested positive.

The news comes 24 hours after Standard confirmed that they had been given permission to allow some fans to attend the game.

Local authorities have allowed 3750 fans entry to the Stade Maurice Dufrasne.
