St Mirren midfielder Killian Phillips earns Republic of Ireland call-up

St Mirren midfielder Killian Phillips has been called up to Heimir Hallgrimsson’s Republic of Ireland squad for their upcoming Nations League fixtures.

Phillips reinforces a side that lost two midfielders over the weekend after Jamie McGrath and Harvey Vale sustained injuries in their respective club contests with Hibernian and QPR.

Phillips will link up with the squad on Monday before they leave for Pristina, where they face Kosovo on Thursday.

They then travel to Debrecen, Hungary, to face Israel before playing Austria in Dublin, and finish the international window with a behind-closed-doors rematch with Israel in Backa Topola, Serbia.
