Several SPFL games have been called off as Storm Bert hits large parts of Scotland.

The games due to be played on Saturday have now been postponed amid weather warnings for snow, rain and wind.

The number of fixtures called off could still grow with others set to face late pitch inspections.

In the Championship Greenock Morton’s match with Partick Thistle’s match has been a victim of the weather and will take place at a later date.

Airdrie v Livingston and Hamilton Accies vs Raith Rovers have also been called off in the second tier.

Ayr United vs Dunfermline has been delayed and will now kick-off at 3.45pm.

In League One Kelty Hearts v Arbroath, Alloa v Dumbarton, Queen of the South v Inverness Caley Thistle and Cove Rangers v Stenhousemuir have been postponed.

The kick-off time for Montrose v Annan Athletic has been delayed by an hour and will now begin at 4pm.

In League Two Bonnyrigg Rose v Stirling Albion, Elgin City vs Clyde, Spartans v Stranraer and Forfar v Peterhead have all been called off.

Clyde’s trip to Elgin will now take place on Tuesday, December 17, with a 7.45pm kick-off after the clubs reached an agreement on Friday.

Currently all six Premiership games are still due to be played on Saturday, although the kick-off time for the Rangers v Dundee United game at Ibrox has been delayed by 45 mins to 3.45pm.

St Johnstone v Kilmarnock has also been delayed and will now kick-off at 3.15pm.

A pitch inspection for St Mirren v Aberdeen will take place at 2.55pm with the hopes of kicking off at 4pm.

Scots have been urged to not travel unless necessary as a series of amber and yellow weather warnings for snow and ice herald the arrival of Storm Bert.

The Met Office said the storm is expected to bring “heavy rain, strong winds and disruptive snow to parts of the UK” over the weekend.

An amber weather warning is in place for parts of The Highlands, Aberdeenshire, Perth and Kinross and Angus.

A second amber warning for snow was issued for the Scottish Borders and Dumfries and Galloway which came into place at 7am and will expire at 12pm.
