The Scottish Open will be played at the Renaissance Club in North Berwick for the fourth successive year, the European Tour has announced.

One of three events which will be co-sanctioned with the PGA Tour from 2022, the Genesis Scottish Open will be played from July 7-10, retaining its coveted place in the schedule ahead of the Open Championship.

Chief executive Keith Pelley said the European Tour is also “continuing discussions” about extending the tournament’s stay at the venue beyond next year.

The field for the Scottish Open will be split between the European Tour and PGA Tour, while 50 European Tour members will be able to contest the Barbasol Championship and Barracuda Championship, which will be played in the same week as the Scottish Open and Open Championship respectively.
