Scott Tiffoney 'buzzing' to sign for Kilmarnock after leaving Dundee

Scott Tiffoney has completed a move to Kilmarnock after his exit from Dundee was confirmed.

The attacker was available as a free agent after leaving Dens Park and Kilmarnock moved quickly to snap up the 26-year-old on a two-year-deal, with the club saying they are adding “pace, creativity and top-flight experience” to the squad.

Tiffoney is the fourth summer signing to join new manager Stuart Kettlewell’s squad, following Jack Thompson, Jamie Brandon and Greg Kiltie.

The versatile attacker said he is keen to get started and has a clear picture of where he fits into Kettlewell’s vision for the team.

“I’m buzzing to be here,” he said. “As soon as I heard Kilmarnock were interested it was something I really wanted to be part of.

“I’ve played here before as an opponent and always thought it was a great place to play football. The manager’s been really clear on what he wants and how I can fit in, so I’m just excited to get going and show the fans what I can bring.”

Kettlewell was delighted to have added “quality” and believes his latest signing will make an impact.

“Scott is a player that I’ve admired for a while,” the Kilmarnock manager said. “He’s a consistent performer in this league, as soon as we were alerted to his availability it was one we wanted to get done.

“Again he’s one that fits into the system we are going to be playing and he’s going to add to the quality we already have here. I look forward to getting to work with Scott as we kick off pre-season this week.”

Tiffoney, who previously played for Morton, Livingston and Partick Thistle, made 76 appearances for Dundee over two years, scoring ten goals.
