Scotland star Scott McTominay’s heart procedure was a complete success, Napoli have said.
The Scotland star underwent corrective treatment using a cardiac arrhythmia ablation after “a mild benign arrhythmia” was discovered last week.
The 29-year-old underwent the procedure at Spire Manchester Hospital on Tuesday morning.
He will now rest for two weeks before returning to training.
McTominay could return for Scotland’s Nations League games against Slovenia, North Macedonia and Switzerland at the end of September and October, Sebastien Pocognoli’s first outings as Scotland coach.
Napoli said in a statement on their website: “The operation was a complete success.
“McTominay will rest for two weeks and then resume training.”
