Former Celtic goalkeeper Scott Bain has signed for Falkirk after leaving the Parkhead club.
The 33-year-old has agreed terms on a one-year contract with the newly-promoted side as manager John McGlynn looks to strengthen his squad for their Premiership return.
Bain is a free agent after agreeing an early exit from Celtic and now looks likely to have regular first-team football after a long spell as a reserve at the champions.
“It’s great to be here,” the goalkeeper told Falkirk’s official website. “The club is very well run and it’s a really great set-up. It’s full of good people, and that’s a part of the reason I wanted to come here.
“I think I can come in and help a bit in terms of experience with the league and with the team’s style of play.
“I’m really looking forward to working with the squad and the management team. The boys have done an incredible job over the last two years and hopefully I can help this season to be an other successful one for the club and the fans.”
The goalkeeper started his career at Aberdeen and then impressed at Alloa before moving to Dundee in 2014.
His performances at Dundee caught the eye of Celtic, who initially signed him on a half-season loan deal as cover in 2018.
Bain went on to spend another seven seasons as a Celtic player, though he only made 78 first-team appearances across his time in Glasgow, with Craig Gordon, Joe Hart and Kasper Schmeichel among the goalkeepers who were ahead of him in the pecking order.
