Scotland's World Cup finals ticket allocation and pricing revealed

Tickets will be available for supporters to book from next week.

Scotland’s World Cup finals ticket allocation and pricing revealed for games against Brazil, Morocco and HaitiSNS Group

The Scottish FA has revealed the ticket allocation for Scotland’s matches at the World Cup finals next year.

The Tartan Army will receive just under 4000 tickets for each of the Group C games, against Haiti, Morocco and Brazil, with supporters also able to buy tickets through FIFA’s general sale.

Fans will be able to apply for the highly-sought after tickets from Monday, December 15 and they will be exclusively available to members of the Scotland Supporters Club.

Pricing is split into three tiers, with fans only able to apply for tickets from one category. The Premier Tier tickets are priced at $500 (£372), Standard Tier tickets cost $400 (£298) and Value Tier seats are set at $180 (£134) each.

The governing body has been allocated 3889 seats for fans to attend the first group game against Haiti in Boston on June 13, and the clash with Morocco at the same venue on June 19. For the third group game in Miami against Brazil on June 24, the SFA has been given 3736 tickets to sell.

In addition, a small allocation for players’ families, staff and partners has been allocated but is kept separate from the main ticketing.

How can Scotland fans get tickets?

All of the SFA’s allocation will be sold through the Scotland Supporters Club (SSC).

SSC Members will receive an access code on Monday, December 15 which will allow them access to the FIFA Portal to apply for tickets from Scotland’s Participating Member Association (PMA) allocation. The sending of these codes will be staggered throughout the day, based on SSC points total, but there is no first-come-first-serve element to this application.

SSC Members have until the final deadline of Tuesday, January 13 to apply for tickets but the SFA is encouraging all SSC Members to apply before the recommended deadline of 11pm on Sunday, December 21.

How will tickets be awarded if demand exceeds availability?

It’s almost guaranteed that more fans will apply for tickets than there are seats available.

For each match that is oversubscribed, the governing body will conduct a ballot following the final deadline using their loyalty point system to determine who is successful in receiving their chosen category ticket.

Points are awarded for attending previous games at home and away. World Cup tickets will be balloted starting with the highest of 32 points and working a way down the points ladder until all eligible members have been allocated tickets for their chosen category.

What is the process for under 18s?

Under FIFA’s rules, no-one under the age of 18 can apply for their own tickets. A member over the age of 18 may apply on behalf of a maximum of one member under the age of 18. The SSC sent out a pre-application survey earlier this week and all those who indicated that they will be applying on behalf of a member under the age of 18 will be sent tailored instructions on how to do this.

What is the advice for members of the SSC who have accessibility needs?

A separate, tailored survey was sent to those members of the SSC who are registered as having accessibility needs. These members will be sent instructions on how to apply for the relevant accessibility sections.

What if I am a Scotland supporter who is not an SSC Member?

Although only SSC Members can apply for tickets in Scotland’s PMA allocation, Scotland supporters who are not SSC Members can apply for tickets in FIFA’s Random Selection Draw, which will open at 4pm (UK time) and close at 4pm (UK time) on Tuesday, January 13.

There will not be a penalty for SSC Members who also choose to apply for tickets within this Random Selection Draw. However, it should be noted that we understand there is no option to decline tickets if successful, so Members should only apply for what they are prepared to pay for. In addition, FIFA’s rule of a maximum of four tickets per “household” (postal address), will also apply.

How can fans who don’t travel watch the games?

Scotland’s match against Morocco will be shown live on STV and on the STV Player, after broadcasters agreed their picks for next year’s World Cup finals.

STV will also have the side’s first knock-out game if the Dark Blues make history by getting out of the group for the first time.

The other two group games, against Haiti and Brazil, will be shown on the BBC.

The men’s national team will be taking part in the biggest tournament in football for the first time in 28 years when they make the trip across the Atlantic next summer.
