Fenna Kalma scored a last-minute winner to give the Netherlands a 2-1 victory over Scotland in their international friendly in Zwolle.

Vivianne Miedema fired the home side into the lead after 10 minutes, but Scotland equalised just two minutes later as Claire Emslie latched on to a superb pass from Kelly Clark to drill a low shot into the far corner.

Victoria Pelova hit a post as the Dutch pressed for a winner and it eventually came a minute from time as Renate Jansen’s deflected shot was tipped on to the bar by Lee Gibson and Kalma tapped home the rebound from close range.

It means Scotland go into their final game before the World Cup qualifying play-offs on the back of a defeat.

Pedro Martinez Losa’s side play their final World Cup qualifier away to Faroe Islands on Tuesday.

The draw for the play-offs then takes place next Friday, with the matches set to kick off in October.
