Scotland scrum-half George Horne has extended his long association with Glasgow by signing a new contract that will keep him at the club for “the foreseeable future”.
The 29-year-old has spent his whole senior career with Warriors bar a loan stint at London Scottish in 2015-16 and he became their record try-scorer when he notched his 55th touchdown in Saturday’s URC win over Lions.
Horne is keen to secure more honours with Glasgow after helping them win the URC title last season.
“I’m massively proud to represent this club,” he told the Warriors’ website.
“I love coming in to training every day. We’ve got a great group of boys here, and everyone around the club makes it a great place to be. I can’t wait to be here for another couple of years.
“I’m incredibly proud to have reached the all-time try record, but we don’t play rugby for individual accolades, it’s all about the team. And getting that taste of success in Pretoria last year has given me and the rest of the guys a real hunger to go out and do it again.”
