Aston Villa have announced captain John McGinn has signed a new long-term contract with the club.
The 28-year-old has committed himself until 2027.
The Scotland midfielder moved to Villa Park from Hibernian in 2018 and was named club captain last summer.
He has played more than 180 times for the club, scoring 17 goals, with his sole strike last season coming in a 2-0 win over Chelsea in April.
McGinn has also played in every game of Scotland’s perfect start to the Euro 2024 qualifiers, netting the opener in the win over Cyprus in March.
Unai Emery’s side will compete in the Europa Conference League this season and enter at the play-off round following their seventh-placed finish in England’s top flight last year.
