Ross County have added to their attacking options with the signing of former Manchester City youngster Jordy Hiwula.

The 27-year-old will join Malky Mackay’s side at their training camp in Italy after penning a two year deal in Dingwall following his departure from Doncaster Rovers.

The striker managed just one goal in 25 appearances as the Yorkshire side were relegated from League One last season.

He previously scored 17 times in 61 games for Coventry City after loan spells with a slew of English sides including Walsall, Wigan Athletic and Bradford City.

The Staggies signed winger Owura Edwards on loan from Bristol City and Kazeem Olaigbe on loan from Southampton in recent days.

Mackay told the club’s website: “Jordy is a great addition to the group. He is an experienced player that has scored goals across the EFL over a number of years.”

“Jordy joined us here in Italy earlier in the week and has settled into the group well. We are delighted with how he has integrated and look forward to seeing him pulling on The Staggies jersey.”
