Rangers’ crucial Champions League qualifier against Panathinaikos at Ibrox will be broadcast by Premier Sports, the broadcaster has announced.
The first leg of the second qualifying round will be new head coach Russell Martin’s first game in charge and is the start of the challenge to reach the League Phase of the elite competition.
Fans who don’t have tickets for the crucial match at Ibrox will be able to watch all the action on Premier Sports, which can be streamed on the STV Player.
Match coverage of the tie will start at 7.15pm, with kick-off at 7.45pm.
Premier Sports will also broadcast Rangers’ first home Premiership game on August 9.
The qualifying tie against Greek side Panathinaikos is the first of three hurdles standing between Rangers and the Champions League proper. If they progress then a third qualifying round and a further play-off tie lie in wait.
Failure to get past Panathinaikos would see the team drop into Europa League qualifying.
Since last season’s second-place Premiership finish it’s been all change at Rangers with an American consortium taking over at Ibrox and investing funds into the club.
Martin’s appointment as head coach has been followed by the recruitment of six new players with more expected.
On Friday morning, Rangers confirmed their 25-man squad for the Champions League tie, with all of their new signings available for selection.
