Rangers head coach Russell Martin has named his side to face Genk – with Youssef Chermiti handed a first start for the club.
The match at Ibrox is Rangers’ first in the League Phase of the competition, and Martin is hoping his side can build on their win over Hibernian last weekend.
After a difficult start to his time in charge, the coach believes there is plenty of improvement to come and a win in Europe would help to build momentum.
Genk have travelled to face a Scottish side in European competition for the first time. The Belgian side finished third in their domestic competition last season, and have a good record in Europe, but they have struggled in the Pro League this term.
Martin has only made one change to the side that progressed in the League Cup last weekend, with £8m summer signing Chermiti replacing Bojan Miovski.
Jack Butland is in goal behind a back four of Jayden Meghoma, Derek Cornelius, John Souttar and captain James Tavernier.
Nicolas Raskin, Mohamed Diomande and Thelo Aasgaard are in midfield, with Djeidi Gassama and Mikey Moore in the wide positions either side of Chermiti.
