Rangers recorded a third league draw in a row after a late equaliser from teenager Findlay Curtis against St Mirren in Paisley.
Russell Martin made three changes to his starting line-up with Emmanuel Fernandez, Lyall Cameron and Thelo Aasgaard all starting from the defeat to Club Brugge.
It was Stephen Robinson’s side, however, who took the lead just after the half-hour mark, after Jonah Ayunga raced through to smash past Jack Butland.
Moments later, Buddies keeper Shamal George clawed an effort away from goal after Aasgaard struck inside the six-yard box.
Boos could be heard from the away supporters on the half-time whistle, before striker Danilo and Tottenham loanee Mikey Moore were brought on for the second half, while Meghoma and Antman were replaced.
Rangers pressed for an equaliser as the home defence stood firm, with Mohamed Diomande replacing Aasgaard after the hour.
Goalscorer Ayunga made way for the Saints while Gers captain James Tavernier came on for the final twenty minutes.
Alex Gogic passed up a chance inside the box to give the hosts a two-goal advantage as he lashed an effort wide of Butland’s goal.
Rangers looked to 18-year-old Findlay Curtis for inspiration, and the midfielder delivered moments after coming on, driving a shot low past George after latching on to a clearance from a corner.
He tested the Saints stopper again before the final ten minutes, forcing a strong save after darting into the area from the right-hand side.
George was on hand again to stop a wicked deflected effort from Tavernier on the edge of the area that glanced off Danilo as the game entered five minutes of added time.
It was then Butland at the other end who stopped a Gogic header from flying into the net with an outstretched hand as both sides rushed to try and score a winner.
For Martin’s men, it finished as a third consecutive 1-1 draw in the Scottish Premiership, while St Mirren remained winless in their league campaign.
