Rangers have announced the signing of midfielder Tochi Chukwuani from Austrian club Sturm Graz.
The Denmark under-21 international, who plays as a midfielder, becomes Danny Rohl’s first January signing on an initial three-and-a-half year deal.
STV Sport understands the transfer fee is around £4m.
Chukwuani said: “I’m super excited. Rangers are a huge club and I can’t wait to hear the roar at Ibrox.
“It’s a historic club with a huge fanbase. There are huge expectations, and this is something as a footballer you want to play in front of.
“It gives motivation every weekend to go and give 100 per cent and do what you can to put smiles on people’s faces.”
Chukwuani, had played 16 league matches for Sturm Graz this season including facing new club Rangers and city rivals Celtic in the Europa League.
Rangers are also hopeful of signing Westerlo left-back Turr Rommens.
Westerlo left-back Rommens began his career at Genk but moved to his current club in 2023. The 22-year-old, who has played for Belgium at the youth level up to Under-21, has played 15 league matches this season.
As head coach Danny Rohl looks to further strengthen his squad, in the January transfer window, Rangers have approached Sunderland over the possibilities of deals for midfielder Dan Neil and winger Romaine Mundle.
Sunderland duo Neil and Mundle have been identified as targets and contact has been made between the clubs to discuss moves to take the pair to Glasgow for the remainder of the season.
Midfielder Neil is a product of the Sunderland academy and the 24-year-old has played oevr 200 games for the Black Cats. However, the former England Under-20 player has only made four appearances this season and could move in search of first team football.
Mundle, a 22-year-old winger, was at Spurs up to B team level but moved to Standard Liege in 2023. After a year in Belgium he moved to Sunderland and was part of the side that won promotion to the Premier League.
