Rangers have reached an agreement to sign Japanese winger Daisuke Yokota.
STV Sport understands that the Glasgow side is signing the 26-year-old from Hannover for an agreed fee of around £2.75m.
The forward scored five times for the 2.Bundesliga side last season in 30 appearances, while he was on loan.
It comes as manager Derek McInnes looks to bolster his front line, with Finland winger Oliver Antman joining RSC Anderlecht for an undisclosed fee last week.
His side travel to Poland this week to face Jagiellonia Bialystok on Thursday in the first leg, with the second leg next week.
It comes after Thelo Aasgaard earned McInnes his first point as Rangers manager as the Light Blues fought back for a 1-1 draw against Dundee United on Friday night.
