Rangers midfielder Kieran Dowell has joined Birmingham City on loan for the rest of the season.
The 27-year-old, who joined from Norwich in 2023, has made 16 appearances for Philippe Clement’s side this season including 12 in the league.
He has now moved south to the English League One leaders where he will join Ben Davies who is also on loan from Ibrox.
Former Rangers winger Scott Wright is also currently at St Andrews as well as ex-Celtic midfielder Tomoki Iwata and Scotland international Lyndon Dykes.
Dowell was an unused sub in the 2-1 defeat to Manchester United at Old Trafford midweek.
His last appearance was in the 3-1 over St Johnstone earlier this month when he was brought off the bench for the last three minutes.
He has only started one league game this campaign and that was back in September against Dundee United at Tannadice.
Rangers confirmed the move on Monday.
A statement from the club said: “We can confirm midfielder Kieran Dowell has joined Birmingham City on loan until the end of the season subject to international clearance.
“Everyone at Rangers wishes Kieran well for the rest of the campaign.”
