Rangers are exploring an option to sign Wolfsburg winger Andreas Skov Olsen on loan, STV understands.

The 26-year-old, who has been linked with a move to Ibrox in the past, is one of a number of players the club are looking at as Danny Rohl aims to significantly strengthen his squad this month.

Skov Olsen has only played in eight out of 16 Bundesliga matches so far this season, scoring once, but could make a switch to play a part in what is a tight Premiership title race.

With Rangers just three points behind leaders Hearts, having played a game more, and three ahead of holders Celtic, Rohl is keen to add to his squad for the challenges ahead.

Midfielder Tochi Chukwuani joined the club on Sunday, while Rangers are understood to be close to completing the signing of left-back Tuur Rommens from Westerlo.

The Ibrox side have also have approached Sunderland over the possibility of loan deals for midfielder Dan Neil and winger Romaine Mundle.

Skov Olsen, who has 40 international caps for Denmark, began his professional career at Nordsjaelland before moving to Bologna in 2019. He had three seasons with the Serie A side before moving to Brugge in 2022.

The winger won two league titles and a Super Cup in Belgium and was signed by Wolfsburg last January. However, he has failed to cement a first team place and could be on the move this month.
