Rangers have signed Djeidi Gassama from English side Sheffield Wednesday.
The 21-year-old winger has put pen to paper on a four-year deal at Ibrox as Russell Martin continues to build his squad for the upcoming season.
Gassama joined the Yorkshire club from Paris Saint-Germain in 2023 and has scored 12 in 84 appearances, including 7 in the Championship last season.
Rangers confirmed the signing with an announcement on Tuesday.
He joins the likes of fellow new recruits Joe Rothwell, Max Aarons, Lyall Cameron, and Thelo Aasgaard in Martin’s first team squad.
“I am very happy to be here and to join the club,” Gassama told the club website. “I am very excited to start with my new club, it is a club with a lot of history, and I am very happy.
“This is a big club, and I need that for my next level and I think it can help me progress.”
Rangers head coach Martin said: “We are very excited to bring Djeidi to the club.
“He is certainly an exciting player who will get supporters on the edge of their seats, and I believe he will add an extra dimension to our attack with his qualities.
“He is hungry to improve as a player and, most importantly, is desperate to pull on the Rangers jersey and help deliver success to the club.”
The Ibrox club are preparing for their first competitive game of the new season, which will come against Panathinaikos in the first leg of the Champions League qualifier next Tuesday.
