Rangers have announced new contract extensions for two of their midfielders.
Teenager Alex Lowry and veteran Scott Arfield have both committed their immediate futures to the club.
Arfield, a major part of the squad that won the league last season and who have reached this season’s Europa League final, signed a new one year extension.
The 33-year-old, who has played 185 games and scored 34 goals since signing for the Ibrox side from Burnley in 2018, came off the bench in Thursday night’s semi-final victory over Leipzig.
Speaking to Rangers TV he said: “The next couple of weeks are so exciting for us with the potential silverware on offer, and also the opportunity to secure Champions League football.
“When you get to this stage in your career, your family is the most important thing, and I couldn’t imagine moving them again. To be staying put at Rangers is just fantastic for all of us.”
Highly rated youngster Lowry has made three first team appearances, and scored on his debut against Stirling Albion, this season.
The 18-year-old signed a deal that will keep him contracted to the club until 2025.
He said: “I want to thank Ross Wilson, Craig Mulholland and the boss for giving me the chance and for showing faith in me.
“I can only thank them and hopefully I can repay them by kicking on now and getting more and more games and good performances under my belt for this great club.”
