Rangers have announced the signing of striker Bojan Miovski from Girona and the player is expected to be in the squad for the Old Firm clash with Celtic.

The former Aberdeen striker has completed his move days after a fee of £2.6m, that could rise to £4.2m with add-ons, was agreed with the Spanish club. Miovski has signed a four-year deal at Ibrox and could make his debut in Sunday’s derby.

The 26-year-old was a star player at Pittodrie during two seasons with Aberdeen between 2022 and 2024.

He scored 44 goals in 98 games for the Dons and became a favourite with the fans before moving to Spain.

However, Miovski struggled to establish himself as a regular in La Liga, making 23 appearances across all competitions and scoring four goals.

He helped the side avoid the drop last season, finishing in 16th place and one point ahead of relegated Leganes.

He will now aim to recapture his form at Ibrox as the club revamp their attack, with Hamza Igamane already having left for Lille, and Cyriel Dessers’ future uncertain ahead of Monday’s transfer deadline.
