Rangers have announced the signing of Badredine Bouanani on a season-long loan deal with an option to buy.

The 21-year-old Algerian moves to Ibrox from VfB Stuttgart who he joined in the summer of 2025.

The winger is Rangers’ 14th summer signing as Derek McInnes bids to compete on the domestic front.

Bouanani said: “I am very happy to be here and excited to start.

“I know it’s a tough league with a lot of duels and intensity, so I will need to work.

“I have a lot of experience now, so I will try to put it into this league.”

Manager Derek McInnes said: “We are delighted to welcome Badredine to the club. He is an exciting young player who will add real quality, creativity and a different dimension to our attacking options.

“He is very good with the ball, a real threat in one v one situations and he has already gained experience in two of Europe’s top leagues.

“We have been working hard to strengthen key areas of the team during this transfer window, and we believe Badredine has all of the attributes to make a strong contribution at Rangers.”

It comes after Rangers confirmed the signing of striker Kevin Kelsy from MLS club Portland Timbers on transfer deadline day.

The 22-year-old joins the Ibrox side on a four-year deal worth £9.2m, making him the club’s second most expensive signing after Tore Andre Flo 26 years ago.
