Rangers and Hibernian are preparing for a blockbuster winner takes all SWPL title decider at Ibrox.

The Edinburgh side lead the way at the top of league with just one game remaining, but Jo Potter’s team are just three points behind and have a vastly superior goal difference.

The top two meet in the south side of Glasgow on Sunday, after Rangers switched the game from their usual home stadium of Broadwood to the home of the men’s team.

The winner of the game will be crowned champions, while a draw will be enough for Hibs to take the title.

And manager Potter believes another last-day decider can only be a good thing for the league.

She said: “There is no other league that has this drama in the last day of the season. We lost out in the last day of the season last year. We didn’t like that feeling, but it’s happening again and it’s happening year after year.

“I think that any one team would love to be running away with it, but for the neutral it’s outstanding for the league and the country as a whole.

“When you look at the noise and the buzz around it, I think it’s huge.

“It shows the level that the league has got to, and I think it’s just getting tougher and tougher every year.

“There has never been this many teams in a title race for a number of years now, so I think that’s key to where the league is going and where it can progress to.”

Hibs boss Grant Scott said: “I think taking the game to Ibrox is giving them the advantage of being able to stretch the game more than they probably could at Broadwood.

“So that is something we have to guard against for sure, but there is a flip side to that and we believe when we turn teams over and attack in the right way, that we can punish them if they are too expansive.

“But it will be a tough job all round, with or without the ball, on Sunday.”
