Raith Rovers have made an approach to former Rangers forward David Healy to be their new manager.
The Kirkcaldy club have been on the hunt for a new boss since Ian Murray was sacked at the start of August.
Healy’s current club Linfield confirmed they have been contacted by the Championship club over bringing Northern Ireland’s record scorer to Stark’s Park.
Since taking charge of the Belfast club in 2015 the 45-year-old has led them to five league titles and finished runner-up to Larne last campaign.
The former Leeds United and Preston North End striker spent a year and a half at Ibrox towards the end of his career and scored five goals in 24 games between 2011 and 2012.
He was most successful at international level where he scored 36 goals in 96 appearances for his country between 2000 and 2013.
Raith, who narrowly missed out on promotion to the top-flight last season, currently sit fourth in the Scottish Championship after a win and a defeat in their first two games of this season.
