Queen’s Park have sacked manager Callum Davidson just over a month after he masterminded a famous win over Rangers.

The Championship club recorded a historic 1-0 victory at Ibrox in the Scottish Cup on February 9 in what will go down as one of the biggest upsets in the competition’s history, but have only won one out of their seven games since.

Following a 4-0 home defeat to Falkirk on Saturday, the former St Johnstone boss has been relieved of his duties.

The Spiders have lost five of their seven games since knocking Glasgow neighbours Rangers out the cup, with only one win and one draw coming in that time.

A statement released on Saturday, said: “Queen’s Park FC can today advise that head coach Callum Davidson has been relieved of his duties following today’s match with Falkirk,” read a club statement.

“Further information will be issued by the club in the coming days.”

The Glasgow side currently sit seventh in the second-tier.

Davidson, who won a cup double at St Johnstone in the 2020/21 season, was appointed manager at Queen’s Park 14 months ago.
