Ryan Porteous returns to the Hibs team in the midst of a four-game league suspension, with Maloney believing the defender can add some presence to his side on a big occasion.

The Hibs boss has made three changes from the team that lost 3-1 at Tynecastle last week.

Matt Macey starts in goals with Lewis Stevenson, Porteous, Paul Hanlon and Paul McGinn in defence.

Jake Doyle-Hayes and Joe Newell anchor the midfield with Harry Clarke and Chris Cadden either side.

Ewan Henderson comes back into the team to support striker James Scott.

Hearts are unchanged from the derby win last week. Craig Gordon in goals with Stephen Kingsley, Craig Halkett and Toby Sibbick in defence. Alex Cochrane and Nathaniel Atkinson are on the flanks.

Andy Halliday and Peter Haring make up a central midfield pairing, while Barrie McKay, Liam Boyce and Ellis Simms are in attack.
